Farewell?
Posted by: Irison Monday, April 28, 2008 - 01:51 PM
Iris has retired and so is the old website. A new era has been ushered in but a
final tribute to those involved in those previous 3 years is in order.

Genesis spent 2years and 10months and making their mark on the worlds of
Innothule and Crushbone in Everquest 2 with many server firsts, fair play,
respect and friendship. We hope we provided a rewarding experience to all
people that were part of the Genesis family.

Everquest2 Because Genesis doesn't see color. We only see parses. Word.

Okay so February was pretty interesting - losing a tank or two. But Genesis prides itself on pwning shit despite adversity. We'll be taking on some apps and see if they're Genesis material (basically can you lead a raid while the ladies of Genesis talk dirty to each other?). So keep a look out in March for more news!

ROK raiding - Day 1 done, Tier1 done, Server First!
Posted by: Irison Monday, November 26, 2007 - 10:44 AM
The solo quest grind is over, time for epic! At least for those not pwnd by
turkeys, new houses, and the Canadian navy. Finish your levels bitches, because
we're raiding!

/gameon
Genesis is off an running in the first teir of ROK raid progression. First up after
SOE fixed the fucking login servers, the annoying little zone The Tomb of Thuuga.
Server first, NP.

Then off to Karnor's Castle and the Executioners Throne Room. A couple of other
guilds decided to try this first and were still working on it with when we got there.
Grats to Velocity on server first, they beat us by about 10mins and we had to
settle for a close 2nd. I blame the Canadians for wanting todo Thuuga first ;)
Pawbuster pwnt, NP.

Last up in tier 1, The Protectors Realm. A zone like this is really fun the first time
through, but still cake. WTF is with all the Pally loot here? /hate mournblade.
No problemo.

No one should be struggling with these. It took longer to get everyone zoned
than clearing this first tier of easy instances. So lets move on to the harder stuff!
Tier 1 complete! Server First!

Grats on all the disco's. Here's just a few peices of lootz. There were more but I'm
a screenshot slacker.

Grats to all those that dinged 80 so fast and those that dinged first in class like
Frog, Larme, Murrcury, Delmont, Mournblade, and ME!

To those that need some help getting started in T8 raiding, here ya go.

Where still looking for an illusionist, possibly another swashie and will consider all
exceptional players. Check out our applications forum if you want to pwn ROK in
style.

Slow news day....
Posted by: Irison Monday, September 10, 2007 - 11:59 AM
Guild news late in an expansion is the suck. Nothing new besides the occasional
loot disco in the end instances but overall its boring news.

Its fun to see things go full circle though. Our roster is now more like it was
12months ago than 3months ago. Some old people have return and some
newer people have joined. It sounds like the recipe for some good clean fun.

How about cooking up a fake ingame event then?

Ingredients:
(1) fresh rolled level 1 toon named "EventLeader"
(7) co-conspirators
(50+) greedy freeportians looking for free gm stuff

Instructions: Gather your ingredients and line then up, Mix well with a
few /shouts and /60-69s and let it stew. For hours.... until you get bored.

Paperwork not required.

Warning: Most people can smell it cooking and cant wait to taste it and they get
impatient. Just dont cut in line or the eventleader's cronies, the linebouncers, may
pwn you in a duel.

Besides the awesome ingame events and clearing the instances we're still taking
some serious cracks at contested. Someone has to give TLU some
competition. Pumpkinhead spawned after most ppl had logged but we had 3
rangers so npnp.

Damn, if we only had an assassin. I blame canna.

The new expansion is coming soon. We're almost staffed up again after yet
another rebuild and better than ever. Check out our applications forums if
you want to get in on some of the fun and you really know how to play your toon.
Elesadir (aka furdinan) is so glad he joined years ago.

May...ong
Posted by: Irison Tuesday, May 08, 2007 - 04:06 PM
.... Mistmoore dead. Another zone down, 1 to go.

As promised last news update we dropped the vamp. Took a couple of Wolfsbane
but the fucker is gonna be on farm status now. Good job Genesis blowing through
the zone that night.

We took out the Far Stride Unicorn on the 2nd floor in EH earlier in the month. We
had some inside information though since Alle worked at a horse farm and she
nows how to calm the wild beast. While we beat the shit out of it, she beat the
stuff out of it. Good stroke Alle.

Besides rockin MMIS and the rest of the zones we had 2 days in Emerald Halls last
week and made it into the third floor before a reboot. And no, we dont cherry
pick our zones like some others I hear about. We clear everything if up. We made
it to Gardener Thirgen after our first night. He was the last block in our progress
to the 3rd floor. Fuckin sick of those Satyr models.

Then the Herald of Woushi fell of his high horse.

We're clearing alot faster and we'll clear the zone soon if the reboot gods are
willing. And we've been collecting our share of some fat lootz of course which we'll
be auctioning in 60_69 shortly. /laugh

Crushbone got yet another guild on the server during transfer week. They
received a nice warm welcome.
The Running Scared
Good Move
New Guild Forming
Welcome to the bone and feel the love. <3 Nakir. If only Eetums were here.

We're still looking for another Troub, Mystic, Illusionist but we're starting to fill
up. If you dont suck, please apply within. No tanks please, we're all set.

And if you do get in, then you too can introduce your family to our guild leader.

One last thing, to all those that skipped ship to Vanguard to escape SOE.
Welcome home.

April showers bring...
Posted by: Irison Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 02:19 PM
Everquest2 .... well no fucking flowers yet (It gd snowed where I am yet again this month! @!
#$~@!#) but it does bring another news blurb. So here I am with some more
updates and lame attempt to provide a bit of humor. Luckily Ethar keeps me feed
with material from all his shenanigans outside the EQ2 so I can put up some filler
shit like nobody's business and dont need to resort to loot screenies anymore.

You see, Ethar was a man nurse in the army but he always wanted to be a
musician (He was pretty cute in that short skirt nurse uniform imo). This is his lame
ass pic he posted of "himself" in our RL pic thread.

In retrospect I should have seen where this would lead him in mmo's. Apparently
he's recently given up VG and Toontown and found his calling in The Lord of the
Rings online. You can actually play instruments and he can be that rock star he'd
always dreamed of. He sent me this link of his latest ingame performance. .
Pretty good dude, rock on. The crowd loves you.

And so the Ethar haters say "Enough! wtf has Genesis been doing"

Well Mayong isn't dead yet but all the other vamps are and we finally restocked
our wolfsbane so hopefully some news in MMIS soon. The real progress is in
Emerald Halls when we're lucky on the server resets. Multi day zone for sure
currently though we havent been fortunate enough to get more than 2 days in
there.

We had 2 fuckin monkeys on our backs in that zone that seemed like they were
always up for us. That pansy ass Prince that always made Karog dance (ya, irret
said he dances like that irl too) and that damn worm event. Last month we shot
that monkey as Prince went down so did the worm post "tuning".

Recently we decided to start our first multiday trip in EH and try for some real
progress. I pray SOE puts in some way to resume zones. Having to keep people
ingame is for more than a day is a lame cockblock. Maybe months from now
everyone will laugh at how long the zone took but I sure hope the Dev didnt think
that staying in game that long was a form of progression.

After clearing the other named that were up on the first floor Tender of the
Seedlings got planted after we found some strats. /Hint head to the library and
check this out.

Welcome to an early Arbor Day Genstyle. Consider yourself distributed!

On to the second floor we added Elaani the Collector to
our own collection. (notice in that pic the l33t french tickler
dildo illusion Brunno has)

And we took Sariah the Bloomseeker's flower.

Gardener was going to go down the following day but we were hotfixed out.
Come help us out next time by heading over to our Applications forum .
We're still looking for a Mystic, Illusionist, Brig, templar and will consider anyone
that doesnt suck and ride the short bus.

From the "You reap what you sow department".

I present to you, Nethos and his wife , the man who brought us Pheonix Elite's
killer rl drama write up (scroll down a bit) on the Cristina/Deanna app we had! Karma. LOL

And finally dont forget, April is "/Tell Kits a Cunt Month". Please send her your
best wishes. Copy and paste /tell kits Cunt. She really doesnt mind if others say
it.

Picking Boogerboos
Posted by: Irison Monday, March 05, 2007 - 11:51 AM
Another month has past and Vanguard SOH came and went. We took a few lumps
during that time loosing a few people but we are rebuilding and getting back on
track. We even have some great new Bosnian's living in Kentucky (wtf!)
that are in the guild now.The russian sounding accents doing the old Yakov
Smirnoff russian reversal jokes in vent are great.

Melanth says to the guild, "woot!, hubby dropped the soap"
Brunno says to the guild, "In soviet russia, soap drops you!"

I know a few of us checked out VG. The much hyped 3rd gen mmo might be new
and different enough for some people but it's got it's own quirks. Docu tells me he
didn't mind chunking in that seemless world (rofl) as much as what they did to
Treant's. Some scary shit right there.

Docu says he'd rather go PK in Toontown with Ethar in our Genesis affiliate
http://www.genesis-toontown.net. I guess they have quite a rep there
driving the GM's nuts with all the parental complaints. We hope to get a lot of
apps from there once the majority of the server population turn's 13.

Back in EQ2 land Unrest has come. I think everyone would agree it's one of the
best instances ever. Great art, clever puzzles, and very good loot. If this is the
first signs of the item revamp SOE is working on no complaints here. It's no Nizari
or Icy Digs in terms of difficulty but it still some good fun.

Of course SoE was nice enough to throw a booger at us. Boogerboo a nice lvl 80
x2 wanders the grounds. We killed him twice in as many days after release.
I know our healers love out dpsing the melee on this fight. LOL

Sashem likes his toys, grats on your Action Figure disco. He said it's going
on the shelf with his Star Wars collection. The other loot was a legendary
Guardian class BP which karog had already disco'd months ago lol.

Freethinkers hideout has also been cleared. For once docu didnt fuck up the
script ;P. Some people may hate me but I'm going to give away some clues to
the strat on this guy, well, heck it works for any vampire in EoF. Listen up!

Did you notice the SOE devs doing the Vampire encounters really like the song
One Night in Bangkok by Murry Head?

Or how about the fact Murry Head's brother, Anthony Head was an actor on
Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

If you do your research and put 2 and 2 together you can pwn eof like we do.

No news update would be complete without another pimp Clemsonn sig.
Dragmoon our crazy german is making Annabell jealous with his newest l33t sig.

I guess Drag was making it up to him when he got tickets to see the Hoff in concert .
Guess they are going to see him soon together. /rock on you two.

If you're looking for cutting edge EQ2 end content stroll on over to our
Applications forum . We promise, no flames unless you actually get past our
recruiting process :)

We're still looking for a Mystic, Illusionist, Coercer, Dirge, Templar.

Bye Bye 2006, Welcome 2007
Posted by: Irison Monday, January 08, 2007 - 01:49 PM
Everquest2 And so it's been over a month, a new year comes but some things never change.
Like Veric bugging me to update news...fucker.

December is busy for lots of people. Presents to buy, then unwrap. Family to
come, then go. Top it all off with the one night a year it's socially acceptable
to get hammered celebrating a new year. But none of that stops Genesis. Our
raid schedule stayed pretty consistent even on the slow holidays raiding older
stuff for AA and the guild is almost level 60 now from all the raid mob status.

It never fails, the big news happens quickly after I post updates but Clockwork
Menace Factory went to farm status 12/5. It was /easymode after
the lag settled down compared to the first few weeks. Having a zone that can be
done really fast ala T5 is really great. SOE needs more of these things. /prays for
a T5 revamp to T7

Mistmoores Inner Sanctum has been cleared to Mayong many times. Despite the
Wolfsbane issue we've only attempted him once but will start putting more
serious attempts in soon. Alot of good gear comes out of this zone. Easily the labs
of T7.5 so far. What's really fun is when 3 guilds decide to raid it the same night.
I think everyone lost 1/4 of their raid force making it down.

On some off days around the holidays we hit up that MMx2 stuff in the castle
when the population was low to finish up cloak quests and shit. These would
be more fun without that fucking lag.

And MMCx2 is what it takes to get unlucky Iris a non treasured breastplate.
Shitty ass luck I have.

Besides working FTH we dont forget Kingdom of Sky stuff either. Some would
rather write it off but its still there and especially fun for some of our new people
that never experienced it Genesis style.

We actually had never attempted Ghazi before and finally took that lame ass
down as well as killing Chel'drak and getting that turtle monkey off our fucking
backs after a 6min fight. The second time in it dropped on first pull.

There aren't too many secrets on Crushbone, and as much as he trys to hide it, I
think Dragmoon's secret is out!

We're still looking for a reliable Brig and a couple of other classes so please check
out our application section on the forums if you want in on some leetness like
this..............

And to those that thought they've seen it all, a disco off Hurricanous and 2 from
Cruor just over the holidays. Even one from Solsek Fist doing named AA

EoFun pew pew pew!
Posted by: Irison Tuesday, November 28, 2006 - 04:33 PM

Sorry Pewi, our recently returned guild mascot monk is a little excited with the
new expansion killing stuff with his lazor beams. New lootz, new AA's, new
quests, new raids! It's just a riot.

Without another 10levels to grind SoE has made this expansion a winner for me
and the rest of guild. Sure, AAs are snazzy but it's not overly end content
prohibitive if you dont have them yet. Rapid "the machine" is our leading AA
epeen with 83 i think. Probably more before I finish typing this. Fucker. Btw,
anyone looking for a warden for a DFC run? I'll mentor! Pleaze!!!

After a little time off enjoying the non-raid content and stuffing turkeys (/sigh.
you're not suppose to use "Mr Willy" to stuff the bird Ethar!), Genesis is starting
to return to it's raid schedule and new mobs are starting to drop as we learn them
and SoE squashes the bugs. It didnt start out all that great though.

The day after release we just couldnt help but take down this guy we saw
wandering in that laggy castle with the promise of new lewt. Pew..Pew..Pew!

Crappy wooden chest wasnt a good start :/ Turns out this guy pops alot and isnt
really rare or l33t.

Still before Thanksgiving we made the mistake of zoning into Deathtoll and got the
stuffing beat out of us. ( I really couldnt eat stuffing Thursday, thanks for making
me hate SoE) We finally just gave up after Fitz and seeing 4 more super hero gay
eyeballs in the way. (no offense Dragmoon, you're still our shg mystic) Then we
tried Clockwork only to get pwnd by LDs and Freethinkers to get pwned by buggy
scripts. /note to self: no zoning into CWM with 3 other guilds standing outside.

Though it was early and just after a few days, we couldnt help but ask WTF? Is it
all going to be like this? Right before Thanksgiving we settled on Ethar's patented
method of "Who gives a shit. Fuck up what we feel like and walk out nakid with
nothing but smiles on"

Off to Emerald Halls we go. CHARGE!

Now here is a cool zone which I think will be our new Saturday night hangout.
Mother nature in all her glory. Outdoors is a nice change, no dungeon crawl here.
Lotsa trash and little fucken fairies will drill you in the ass if you're not looking.
Apparently some named are random so you may not see the same ones
every time. We did find a few named while exploring though. Who besides Ethar is
afraid of the big bad wolf? /hail Sarik the Fang... Pew Pew Pew!

He wasnt all that big or bad but it was fun to finally kill something.

Next up, The Segmented Rumbler ...ooooooo. You'll ask yourself wtf is this mob so
easy for when you're right about here...Pew.Pew.Pew....LOLs inc after that.

Thanks for the fun zone.

Saturday after Thanksgiving we decided to stay with our "fuck progression"
attitude and checkout Mistmoore's Inner Sanctum. What did we find inside? I think
Mournblade said it best.

Thanks to Vexyn a few named Killsauce pics since they do get missed...(either he
remembered to hit the printscreen button or it's also his /assit hotkey and I got
lucky with news material.)

Pew!

Pew!

Pew!

The consensus on the streets is, besides Mayong himself this zone is a little too
easy atm. Still I'll call it wootsauce for now!

Monday we prepared ourselves for some more punishment. The first named in
Freethinker gave us problems last time but it turns out there was a developer
acknowledged bug in the jar script that made it out of beta.../cough I mean Alpha.
It still took a few pulls to get our position figured out but we still finally got that
silverbullet into that Werewolf bugs included... Pew Pew Pew!

Overall I give EoF a big thumbs up! Hopefully everyone else is having the fun we
are with this expansion. It's great we have to think about what we want to do
rather than what we are locked out of now and it will only get better since
there is some more content promised.

I asked Ethar what he thinks since he is picky bastard and......

We're looking to add some depth to our roster so if you want to join in with us on
all this EoFun please check out our Applications section on our Forums!
Melanth raids nakid btw and all apps get the address to her webcam. Hotz!

Oops! Almost forgot some obligitory snazzy loot pics...
Grats Maalthir on that pimp wand. Now transmute that shit make me some more
fucking adornments!

Genesis Reloaded!
Posted by: Irison Wednesday, September 27, 2006 - 05:03 PM
Everquest2 Well, it's been about a month since Genesis had to Reload and we're starting
to get a few shots off again. Also good news is the return of Mournblade and
Svanna! /cheers

Earlier last week a good old hustle and pull dropped us Hurricanous again. Ya,the
mob is silly easy, but what a bunch of fun bailing out of Roost, rounding up the
troops and racing to the Breeding Grounds.Good times.

Last week also saw us releasing a little Orkin man bitchslap on that
Mutagenic Outcast. I hear the spainards got a few hours of pulls off that morning
but luckily it was still up for us when we had enough to mobilize. There were
plenty of good natured folks to cheer us on to victory too! Like this guy and his
entourage of pets and fun spells here.

This Bud's for you Mr. We cant kill it atm so I'm trying to lag you guys.
Don't you have something better to do like watching other servers kill matron?

Despite the large crowd, that ugly ass insect finally dropped and gave us
the goods. Nice Disco on the ring too

We also pulled Matron for the first time this week. Both the Overseer and Korzak
fell on the second pull but the Matron herself is another story.

Hell, we even got some Fabled loot out of the deal. Grats Karog on that Shiki toy
you disco whore!

Rapid , has turned into the guild punching bag lately. We've sent him
him to his death pulling and trap popping so many times I'm sure he's sick of the
repair bills. One of our last trips into DT brought a few laughs though. Instead
of Rapid running in to his death, Tarinax got into the habit of just giving the poor
guy a boot in the ass. 3points!

Props to former guildie Clemsonn/Mystblade on sigs. We've been keeping the best
sig artist artist around busy with requests. (shhhh, this is all part of our diabolical
plan to keep him away from contested mobs.) Class act that Clem!

I really like the personal touches on these sigs that really reveal more than just
the toons. Like Svanna being a big flirt irl, cant blame the girl she's married to
Mournblade afterall. Or Kaylee's pc and conn being such crap his sig animation
shows his actual frame rate. I really like how Dragmoon's sig shows his curious
yet strange fascination with David Hasselhoff. Don't hate him, he's German. /shrugs

Every once in a while I'll checkup on the webserver stats and just see how peeps
are finding us. Earlier this month I noticed a bit disturbing:

Really, this is a surprise. Well, it's a surprise NOW considering Ethar is no longer
really active I mean. Seriously ppl, there are plenty of fine GLBT guilds out there
but we dont really consider ourselves one now Ethar is gone.

We're mostly full at the moment but exceptional applicants will be considered.
Please contact a guild leader ingame or post an app.

One last thing. Elesadir has put some videos together over the months and they
are available in the Downloads section, they often get missed since my news is so
l33t

Posted by: Irison Monday, September 25, 2006 - 01:35 PM
The old news that was here for so long was depressing but it does point out something...

Summer's in MMO's suck. Period.
Besides the normal flow of real life, summer is a time when people get outside and
tan their pasty faces. An effect the monitor irradiating images of EQ2 just does
not match, it aint pretty. (trust me, Ive seen shiki's rl pic, /gag). Attendance goes
down, pressure on others still raiding goes up. Times like this are hard on guilds
but they continue on the best the can. Makes you want to punch babies. Genesis
and its precursors have seen it before but summer is coming to an end.

Still the summer was not a whole fucking waste. We had our share of success
which deserves some props not covered in recent news updates.

Tarinax fell for the first time on Crushbone June 24th. He dropped so fast it
was like Ethars pants when I walk in the room. Claymore disco's were had, blah,
blah, old news. Subsequent downings have spread more than a few claymores
across the server.

Clears in Halls of Seeing, AoA, Labs, roost, Lyceum and random Hurricanous bitch
slap are common..Ya pimp my alt please.

Besides the normal summer problems, It's even harder when stalwarts, founders
leaders, and friends need to take a break. So we say not goodbye, but hope to
see you soon, and thank them for all they have done. Making Genesis what it is
and was.

/salute

/edit - OK wtf? How did Eetum spam his way into this post?! grrrr.

What is left when the backbone of a guild is removed? More importantly do the
people staying and new people coming have enough perseverance to replace it?

/rubs magic 8 ball

Genesis is anxious and gearing up for the next expansion! Murrcury says the new
fae toons give him wood. Now that we're full of new recruits as well as those
veterans that have stuck it out or returned, we're ready for some fun! Lets all hope it doesnt bite!

Stay tuned, because if you think you have heard the last from Genesis.

Going strong.
Posted by: Kayleeon Tuesday, June 06, 2006 - 12:42 PM
Everquest2 Time for another update folks....

Quite a bit has been happening in the past few months. We are getting real close
to a complete flesh out of the guild. Still looking for a few select classes though
(more of that towards the end).

Arrr, we be hunting dragons. All the dragons of the Overrealm fell before the
wrath of Genesis since the last update. Finally completing what many of us are
quite anxious for... Deathtoll Access!

First was Gorenaire, which we killed quite some time ago, not long after the gates
of the overrealm were opened. Some time went by and we ventured into the
depths of the Temple of Scale to face the High Priestess, Harla Dar,
not even her awesome powers could withstand the forces of our combined might.
Next, the Ascent beckoned to us again, offering us bountiful treasures and one
lone Mark of Talendor as an appetizer, which we gleefully took.

Lord Vyemm still eluded us, but we knew it was only a matter of time before we
figured out his trickery. Determined, we sent 4 hardy groups of adventurers into
his domain, battleing and defeating anything that stood in our way before finally
reaching the lair of the beast. After a short fight ( approx 2 minutes), Lord
Vyemm choked up his mark which we gratefully accepted.

Death Toll here we come!

But there was another fabled dragon we had to take care of first, and a few
princes who we thought needed to feel the might of our clan.

But first things first, the dragon, Hurricanus, fell before the might of Genesis.

The next day brought us face to face with 3 Princes who have yet to taste death
on the Crushbone server. But we were determined to be the first to deliver them
unto justice. And deliver them we did...

It was a tough battle, one of the toughest the overrealm has to offer, but we
prevailed (not bad for a t6 raiding guild *snicker*), and brought home the much
coveted bounty of the princes...

Now some of the misc. loot we have aquired since the last update, not all of it by
far, but simply a taste. Grats to all the members who got some good upgrades.

Working to advance the guild has always been important to me, and attaining
guild level 50 was one of our proud moments. Kudos to all the members who
worked on writs, heritage quests, spent raid nights farming guild status from
courts and various other status mobs.

As I mentioned at the start of this update, we are still looking for a few classes to
flesh out the guild a little more. Fury, Assassin and Rangers are at the top of our
list, but we will consider any good player, no matter the class, so feel free to post
a message on our forums or contact Mournblade, Ethar, Kaylee, Melanth or
Elesadir in game for more informaton about us.

Until next time!

We're still here bitches
Posted by: Kayleeon Tuesday, April 25, 2006 - 05:43 PM
KoS launch has come and gone, we've said goodbye to some old friends who
didn't have the time anymore and hello to some new ones. There's too much to
cover in one update so we'll make this short.

We've finished mark of awakening and the single group instances as many times
as Tanzik has pimped himself out to Mournblade for loot (which is a lot: he's a total
whore) and that's all I have say about that.

On to the real raids. After some hella boring eye farming (silent city 2.0 retarded)
we got Gorenaire to show his face. After a few practice runs, Tanzik finally pulled
out his pimp cane and Gore gave up his quest update.

Labs has been fun too as well as some nice loot as an added bonus (too many relic
drops to count). Definitely some different encounters than what was faced in t6
which is always nice.

We've been on a few joyrides into Temple of Scale, and while Pantrilla and the
hard2spell V dragon could probably be done by a guild of one armed blind people,
a metal box is a metal box!

Our first trip into Lyceum, the whoreish Essence o' Fear didn't show up which
made me want to punch babys, but we went in full force to take on the newly
revamped (and much more interesting!) version and cleared it out. Grats minions
of Genesis on the quest completions and such. The reward was decent. And
green. Heh.

For the loot...

And one for the discovery whores out there...

Another shameless recruiting plug-We're looking for a few active groupies, mostly
healers, so feel free to message one of us in game or fill out an app on the
website and we'll get back to you as soon as we're done looking through the RL
naked pictures Fingolfin likes to post of himself.

Our first 4days on Crushbone...
Posted by: Irison Sunday, February 12, 2006 - 03:24 PM
Everquest2 The first week of the server move certainly proved interesting. Thank you
Crushbone for the warm welcome and all the hi's!

Wednesday was a real drag. The horrendous chat lag and zone lag really put a
damper on things :/ Still we managed to get to SC which was totally empty and
rounded up another set of eyes and some ok loot.Thursday we did yet another
gates clear which is always fun.

Friday something was up in PoF.

Don't have a good screenie on him but peeps
seem to like gayly bright colors and ms paint drawings (those pictures are clickable!) so here we are kicking the
fucker in the box. And yea thats a coercer killshot-way to go rangers.

Got a couple of nice discoveries too:

Grats Mero and Nealix on some new hotness and gratz Bownz on not going LD.

After that we went on our second trip to see Godking Anuk. Yawn-'nough said.
Grats to al the slackers who didn't get theirs first time around. (Old screenie
btw, damn we a slackerz)

We also found Uzyrd that happened to be up unmolested, and well, big smug
fucking trees piss me off. So we killed it. Yet another contested kill in the bag.
(again, no screenie :( )

Saturday morning found Terrorantual up in SS1. A couple other guilds were taking
some cracks at at him (ouch.. 1% wipe is the suck =/). After enough Genesis
logged in we took a couplepokes at him and dropped our 3rd contested in 4days.
Had a nice crowd cheering us on too which is always fun. Heck, some nakid pally
was even calling timers for us :) And thanks Ixidor for reminding us to debuff at
50%. Man we would have been fucked!

PPR-Got a ring. Cleared the zone. Only took 2 months but hey what can you do
other than bitch and take up ritualisticly sacrificing virgins (hihi you lucked out
Bownz). Easily one of the gayest road blocks SOE has thrown up to beating a
zone. It still fun with 1 ring, it would be down right cake with 2 or 3 rings.
Certainly no reason to brag about clearing this zone if you have em :/

So with ring in hand here's the final mobs.

These havent been killed too many times since we got discoveries on all the loot
from these guys.

And now to some of the other loot from the last 4days.

Of course its always fun to make guildies that missed raids work for the loot.
DROP IT LIKE ITS HOT PURRIN.

Don't forget to check our application forum! We're looking for a few more people
to round out our roster and join our family for KoS including:
Inquistor
Defiler
Fury
Again, not listed, just ask anyway. At worst case you'll annoy the hell out of
tequivas.. and thats not really that bad... and well if you're gay enough you just
might get your own rank someday!

LOL is a tradmark of Genesis Corp

Drunken Pallys, Close calls, and PMSing Royalty
Posted by: Etharon Monday, February 06, 2006 - 12:17 PM
Well to start off I have to say I'm sorry it's been so long since my last update.
Yes, I'm a slacker!

I'm sure by now you've all heard we will be merging with Crushbone, and well if
not, I guess cocaine is a hell of a drug... We look forward to making new friends
and the increased competition. Some of the people we will be sharing the server
with have already stopped by to say hello so hopefully we'll be able to make
Crushbone as great of a server as Innothule was.

Since the last update we've had another run through the now kill on sight court of
Al'afaz, and after a couple of.. strategy sessions... (read: getting our collective
heads torn off) we were able to kick that bitch in the box. She coughed up some
jewelery for our superhero gay mystic. Grats drag on the server discovery ring!
We then proceeded to curbstomp sunchild who gave it up to us in the form of a
mage hat that actually had a proc! Anyway, grats Azamien (lord knows he needs
all the help he can get).

Friday night we found out Barakah was up, and well who are we to pass up a shot
to take 12 of our crazy fuckers and start taking swings at a big dragon? Needless
to say by the time we got a decent raid force built up (damn people with jobs and
social lives! damn them to hell!) we finally decided it was time to put him down for
good. All was going well untill...

And yes Viriginia, thats not a kill shot ;p. Needless to say, having been our first
encounter with the pof version of this mob and trading pulls with Equinox
all night was one of the most fun times I have had in this game. I don't think
any battle for a contested has ever come down to the wire like that in the history
of Innothule. We hope the top guilds can keep it clean and respect each other
like this once the move to Crushbone is done.

Anyway, we had a blast and at least we didnt miss out on any stellar loot (that
mace was gay lol) ;p.

So I have gotten a fair amount of shit for the things I've done/said while being
fairly trashed (guys gotta keep his sanity on the 3rd floor of poets return
somehow) so when the opportunity came up where i could return the favor, who
am i to pass it up? <3 mourn but shit you were cracking me up so I thought Id
share our fearless leader after the steelers win!

Boy, wouldn't want to be Mournblade this morning. Svanna said she's going to be
late for the raid even cleaning the puke out of the washing machine he mistook for
a toilet :/ Let's hope thats all she finds.

Besides another rakjallar (lol gogogogo spear of despair), tree kill (more mage
hat sexyness for bownz to LD with), gates run (bad penelopy for zoning in on the
jeweler before the raid invite), PPR Juranata run (lame npc upgrades), not much
else to report so I'll end with some of the better loot from the week.

We are still looking for Zerk, Defiler, Brigand, to bolster our roster so stop by our
forums, send one of the officers a tell (hell just talk to someone ffs) or... light a
forest on fire... get our attention...somehow...and we'll sit down and have a
talk! If you're not one of the classes listed ask anyway cause you never know
we're always on the look out for exceptional players. Come on.. you know you
want to...

And from the sports pages: Fuck the steelers! When Dan Marino comes back
you're all gonna pay! Go Dolphins!

oooo, I just about Forgot! IN YOUR FACE CASIE!

Love,

Ethar

Godking down on Innothule!
Posted by: Fingolfinon Saturday, January 21, 2006 - 05:04 AM
Everquest2 Firday night, 8pm cst Genesis zoned into Fountain of life for the first time.
5minutes into Saturday morning, Godking Anuk fell on Innothule for the first time.
4 in the f ucking morning im still up writing this s hit.

This had to be one of our most well prepared raids. /ethar tells you " ive spent
4 f ucking hrs prepping for this damn raid" It certainly paid off. After months of hard work
gearing, clean fun playing, and farming a stupid set of eyes, we were determind
to make the most of our adventure into the fountain of life.

And finnally after much strategizing you can face Godking Anuk himself. Dont be
too relieved after killing him though. I swear most of our deaths came from trying
to claim the reward then actual encounters. Yet another hurdle to keep you up
late.

The loot? Well you've probably all seen the Prismatic 2.0's but here they are
for the first time on innothule mixed in with some other loot from the last couple
of days. Sorry, but im too tired to break it out. The bp and gauntlets dropped
from godking himself and was the only loot to speak of inzone beside all the rares.

And if you happen to be the type that's into discovery screenies, tough s hit. I
can only offer you this from the last 36hrs of our guild events page:

1 last thing before I sleep. I'm gonna slap anyone saying Wardens are
underpowerd. /WOOOF!

I'm seeing orange..
Posted by: Fingolfinon Saturday, January 14, 2006 - 01:45 PM
Its been quite a week. 2 trips into PPR, gates, SC eyes, courts.. whew.

You probably wont see many more updates about Courts since we've seen about
as much as it has to offer sans Black Queen. I do predict her highness will fall
soon since we havent really yet concentrated on her. We have enough eyes to
give FoL a go and finish up that zone, hopefully some news on that in another
week.

Last week we did clear gates except for the final boss since we lacked a dang
crafter last time in. Penelopy was hard at work the last week leveling one so we
should be good to go our next trip. Thanks pene! /edit ok, 10hrs after posting
this we cleared the zone :/ the last guy was a chump and turned out to be a server first.

The big story would have to be Poets Palace the Return. Despite all the problems
other guilds seem to be having, we made it past Ciriktna twice in the last 7days
without a Djinn ring and got all the server first mob kills up to jura.

If you know anything about the ring and what it does, you know it would make
this incredibly easier. The ring drop really stinks as it boils down to luck if you
happen to get one :/ This mob also has the potential to bug every other named in
zone if you fail and dont prevent it. Fighting tough mobs is is one thing, fighting
bugs are another. The loot in this zone is really worth the effort though, ring or
not.

Past Ciriktna there is a lot of trash on the 2nd floor and the mobs are pretty easy.
Pizza's brother, Akte'hut makes an appearance but goes down faster than a
pepperoni pizza with a cold beer.

Why they named this mob Krathuk is beyond me. It's a little work to get
him to spawn but he's really a pushover.

The third floor starts to get interesting. After endless trash clears you start
seeing orange again and the fun starts to build. Named Djinn start to appear and
you really need to be on your toes. If you have trouble with Ciriknta they'll
probably provide a nice challenge.

At the end of the third floor you get a really fun encounter with a pair of named
Djinn with some adds. Raneshu and Jenirodi stopped us our first time in when we
started loosing to many people to the clock and work the next day. On our 2nd
trip in everyone dug deep and we blew our way past them.

Onto the 4th floor its all orange and Gurtrom the Guardian greets you. We had
little problem with him but he can hit really hard.

After some more trash you finally you get to the big road block. Jura'nata. This
mob has only been killed twice worldwide by a guild without the Djinn ring. It was
getting really late and our main armor set was getting low so we only had 1 shot
at him. It should prove to be a real challenge unless we find ourselves a ring.

And now for some of that uber loot we've been hauling in the last few days.
Many server discoveries here especially all the ones from our trips into PPR. Check
out that cold forged stuff. yummmmmie!

We still have a few openings for anyone wishing to join us in all this fun. Please
see the forums for details. I think Leridian would like to see another scout join up.
He has certainly paid a price from instance scouting :)

And finally a public service announcement: Smokey the bear says only you can
prevent forrest fires. In this case however, with a little help from Ethar's artistic
touch, he seemed to think differently.

Here we go again!
Posted by: Etharon Tuesday, December 06, 2005 - 10:26 AM
Everquest2 yea so like.. news update

About a month has passed since we started raiding again
and I'm pleased to say the raid zones seem to be
completely itemized. The loot is dropping like Iris's pants when I log in!

I think our favorite raid zone so far has to be gates in the
living tombs. There's some very fun and encounters and not
to mention, lots of ways for a noob warlock to wipe a raid
*poke callendor.* Needless to say it would probably be in our
best interest to inform people new to the zone of the.. perils.
I forgot to and, well mass death ensued!

We've been hitting up the Courts of Al'afaz every time
our timer is up and got a very pleasant surprise the other
day when lo and behold, some of that crap treasured gear
turned into fabled! Now if only my dumbass had held on to
more of it... thanks to jad for not vendoring those pants
however disgustingly ugly they may be. This is another great
zone with some interesting encounters.

We also recently experienced the ever so exciting world of raid
writs. I was not expecting much... and boy was I not disappointed.
For the amount of time it takes (not much granted) you could easily
do a t5 instance for the same status and have a shot at least
some loot. Speaking of loot, I know I had people falling all over
themselves to get a pair of the mighty +2 sta wrist wraps that dropped!
But maybe you'd be more interested in the following we've collected lately...

We've also continued to farm Lockjaw and the Cleft champ every time
they are up. We finally saw metal the last two times we've killed Rakjallar,
how ever hillarious the shaman only spear may be. You have to wonder who
thinks of some of this loot. Just look at Iris's fabled "see through" Wildwood
leggings (turn off soga and laugh at her thong sometime). I told you her pants
drop when I login =p.

I'll end this update with another recruitment plug! We are still looking
for Inquisitors, Brigands, Defilers, Furies, Beserkers and well, basically
anyone who isn't an asshat and tolerates our brand of lunacy. Apply on the
forums or contact one of the leaders in game. Come on, you know you want to...

Stay tuned, we'll have more updates as soon as we kill some more stuff!

Hugs and kisses!
ETHAR
